Chapter 326

The blade slit Melody’s finger, and blood spurted out.

“Miss Melody!” Hattie and Susan were both shocked. They quickly searched for band-aids.

Melody said while tenderizing meat, “It was a dare, right? Then, why are you asking so many questions? Are you going back on your word?”

“Of course not!” Sid hated it when people claimed he didn’t keep his word. He said, “I was lying to you just now. I haven’t gone for a physical examination yet. Rest assured. I won’t go back on my word. I’ll go after I’m done eating.”

After the brief conversation with Melody, Sid forgot that he had entered the kitchen to ask what they were having for lunch. He turned around and walked out.

When he returned to the living room, he saw Ken and Janet sitting opposite each other.

Janet smiled and asked, “Sid, what’s wrong with you? Why do I feel that you and Melody are especially compatible? You’ve only come here twice, and both times, Melody is here too.”

Melody’s culinary skills were indeed good, but Ken did not think that Melody’s ravioli could impress them.

She thought, ‘These are just some ravioli.’

She could accept Sid’s exaggerated expression, but she

was stunned to see Ken acting so impressed too.

Janet was reluctant to admit that Ken loved Melody’s cooking because he loved Melody. Janet expressionlessly picked up a ravioli and stuffed it into her mouth.

Chapter 329

As soon as Janet bit down on the ravioli, the delicious juices instantly exploded in her mouth. She actually felt like she was eating meatballs.

“Hattie!” When Susan saw that she could not stop Hattie, she finally felt that something was wrong. She asked, ” What happened just now?”

Hattie replied sarcastically, “It’s nothing. It was just a real-life adaptation of The Farmer and The Viper.”

She then walked toward her room.
